Wasel
Ride-Hailing Built for Jordan
Wasel is a ride-hailing platform for Jordan two separate Flutter apps and a real-time Node backend, built around one idea: a driver reads the screen at a traffic light, with one hand, in the sun. Everything else follows from that.
The Problem
Ride-hailing apps are dense: too many buttons, too many decisions on one screen, and an Arabic layer that was translated rather than designed numbers running the wrong way, labels wrapping, controls mirrored badly. A driver is reading all of that at a traffic light, one-handed, in the sun.
Our Solution
The product was rebuilt against a written design spec, on one rule: one screen, one goal, one primary button at the bottom. No screen asks two questions. Arabic is the design language, not a translation layer and the live tracking was rewritten to survive the weak-signal spots where a trip actually gets cancelled.
